Universal polyester-based hot melt adhesive.
An important advantage of this adhesive powder is that it helps reduce dye migration from the textile into the transfer, commonly referred to as “bleeding”.
The hot melt has a relatively low melting temperature, allowing the transfer to be pressed for just 7 seconds at 140°C.
This hot melt offers good wash resistance (up to 60°C).
The longer and hotter the transfer is pressed, the greater the risk of dye migration from the textile into the transfer.
There is no 100% solution to prevent bleeding in DTF transfers. Bleeding can be particularly persistent with certain softshell garments. Washing the garment before applying the transfer is recommended, although in practice very few users want to add this extra step.
Compared with polyurethane-based hot melt adhesives, polyester-based adhesive is less elastic and less flexible.
